Ok so need some help, I got some 2.0 16v front hubs and calipers for my car, I've come to order braided hoses and there fine, got some pads then came to order some drilled and grooved fronts and apparently there's two choices? I can't get hold of the reg number or anything that there from so does anyone know the differences between the two? Mine are 280s and vented.

Thanks! Kyle

order them for a 96-99 seat ibiza, should be the ones you want. i cant see anywhere that the discs/pads change. if they still reckon there are 2 types just ask for MK2 G60 front discs n pads, those will fit.

yeah....where you getting them from Kyle.....?

these are the ones....http://www.potn.co.uk/p1207332.htm

how easy was the swap kyle and how much did the lot cost from the donor car ? i am looking to whack 16v brakes on my 8v in prep for a lump swap.

Hi mate, I got the 2.0 16v engine, gearbox, loom, clocks and front hubs for £250, bargain i think!

Im not swapping it all over so couldnt say how hard it is!

Ive now sorted the disks and pads! now i have a new problem!

They have said they dont do a braided hose kit for them, The problem apparently is that ive got an 8v gti rear axle (didnt think it was any different from a 16v?) and 16v fronts, the only way is to send my original hoses off and have goodridge make them, which im not gonna do because it will take far to long!

so ... is the rear axle any different from an 8v or 16v? the hoses would surely be the same even if they were?

Should i just order the complete 16v kit?
also venom only list the kit 93-96?

thanks, kyle

nope the rear hoses are the same, just the front hoses that differ for 280s. buy the complete 16v kit :)

edit: no difference between pre and post 96 at the back either. The difference is the front caliper hoses it seems. early models use the same fronts as a MK3 Golf, and later ones are SEAT specific

Ok so badger 5 can only supply the front hoses,

can anyone confirm that the 6 line kit from venom listed for 93-96 will actually fit upto 99?

I'm going to go out on a limb and say the rear 4 will fit models up to 99, its the front hoses that are the problem. Dont know 100% but ETKA suggests that this is the case! down to you if you want to risk it or not, if it was me I'd buy the kit :)
