just went out to take some dvd's back to blockbusters, got 100yds down the road put my foot down and hear and felt the engine missing either that or it turned into an impreza :lol:

This is the second one to go on me in 6 weeks dont mind as its a cheap fix, mrs wasnt happy tho means she's got to drive my rangie to work now tomorrow but means i get the cupra for the day:p:whistle:

Welcome to the club.

As covered before - when one goes it can weaken the others with the excess strain of trying to keep the engine running so don't be surprised if the others soon follow suit. If it was me, I'd either change all 4 or carry a spare in the boot.

this is the second one to go the other was about 6 weeks ago

Just bought a new one tried tried to find which one has gone by trail and error, tried all of them and no joy its still missing could it be the plugs this time???

Does it need vag com to clear the fault first??

got my m8 who runs a garage to come up with his laptop, thats what i use sometimes to find the fault codes. not vagcom but a diagnostic program for his garage

got vagcom off of ross tech but need a cable not sure where to get it from tho

all sorted now, miss fire on cylinder 1 coil pack.

So thats cylinder 1 and 2 coils pack replaced now, bring on 3 and 4 :lol::lol:

will get them replace now anyway to make sure
