Has this happened to anyone else? I pushed the button to deactivate the parking sensor beep and now the buttons stuck in and won't come back out.

Any ideas how I fix it? How do I get the plastic trim off the center button console (the one with lock, unlock, traction, parking, etc)?

It should still be under warranty... going to contact the dealer tomorrow. Stupid question, but I've read about Seat dealers resetting maps. They wouldn't do that when just changing a switch would they? Its only for services right?

that assembly just pries off using a small trim tool, as for the remap yes the dealership can reset remaps you might as well let the dealership know the car is mapped as it will throw a TDC1 code as soon as the GFF logs are sent off so make sure they are aware and do not touch it sometimes there are SVM updates or campaigns due on the vehicle that will be carried out while the vehicle is at the dealership and if they don't know it's mapped at the time they could wipe it without realising.

Hmm. I'll pop the trim off first and see what's happened to the button before taking it in. It still seems to work. So I have no idea why it's dropped so low. If I do need / can find a replacement button I assume it just pulls out and in once the trim is off?

I don't believe you can order the buttons separately I think you can only buy the whole switch assembly. I'm not 100% on that though.

Just tell them it's mapped and tell them not to flash your ECU. It's your car at the end of the day, not theirs. Your warranty claim would be regarding a faulty interior switch, I doubt even the most awkward of dealers could reject your claim for that based on the fact that the car is mapped.

Cheers, got the car booked in for Saturday morning. They reckon it'll only take 10 minutes to fix. If he comes at it with a screwdriver, I'll let him get on with it... if there's any sign of a computer cable, I'll tell him about the remap.

Well, buttons kind of sorted. Apparently its held in by both sides by a clip and one side has broken. So the service dept put the switch back in and attached the one side and just told me to be extra careful. Apparently if it goes again, I'll have to have the whole switch replaced as the clip is part of it.

On a side note. He did say if it needs a new switch its not covered by the warranty as its not a manufacturing defect. Good to know there's a get out clause for everything.
