Another question for all you budding mechanics here

Problem: when turning right I get a grinding sound from the front passenger wheel area.

First I thought it was the wheel bearing, replaced that didn't make one bit of difference
second I replaced the suspension front bushes with powerflex poly bushys, no difference

the problem only is when I turn right no problems when turning left, sound is not like tyre rubbing it sounds like a bearing gone wrong

any ideas? driveshaft? CV joint? any ideas on cost of a driveshaft?

thanks

Car: Seat Ibiza 1995 2.0 8v GTi
Suspension: OE dampers with -40mm eibach springs
Wheels & tyres: Mk3 16" wheels & 195 45 16 tyres

not a backing plate behind the discs....? had this on another car (Not Seat) when i turned a certain way the suspension caused the plate to get nearer than normal and it scrapped the disc..... (plate between the bottom ball joint and disc)

Failing that give the rims of the discs a good clean of any rust on them. This has also caused me problems in the past and it took ages to work out where the noise was coming from... Basically the disc rust was grinding on the caliper as it rotated but for some reason only made the noise when turning

Just two options that are easy to look at.... maybe neither of them though!

Yes it could also be a drive shaft on its way out but that needs further investigation...
