Ok i have had this weird problem for a while but this week it has seemed to have got 10 times worse ( does it everytime i brake now )

what happens is when braking its ok down from 60 but when it gets below 20 ( as soon as it hits 20 ) there is an awful grinding noise and feel through the break pedal, its not the discs or pads and only happens when it gets below 20mph under very light breaking.

The feel is like a metalic grinding and its doing my nut in! almost like the break pedal when depressed is grinding on a wheel with teeth on it or summin, what is behind the brake pedal that could get in the way?? im not very technical but i wonder if this is a problem which anyone else has had?, sometimes it happens when the clutch is depressed and sometimes when its in nuetral?

Any ideas?:-o

Abs rings, hhmmm, this got worse after the ABS light and traction control light came on on Tuesday, last time this happened it was the ABS sensor, it seems now when im braking between 20-0mph and it starts to grind i cant push the pedal down anymore, its like the pedal gets jammed and i have to take my foot off the brake and then back on again, i think its a case of whipping the front wheels off and having a look for summin loose i guess? as for the Pedal box is that a big job to replace and would it be expensive? the car has down 126k now so things are gunna start going wrong i guess but has been excelent since i got it back in May last year
