Hey everyone so after many many hours and long long nights of researching all over the place I was able to put together a few resources for everyone looking at doing an SMF (single mass flywheel) conversion to get away from the dreaded stock DMF (dual mass flywheel).
Here are some options to choose from, for all of those guys having issues finding quality conversion kits.
The one everybody knows already VALEO...
Valeo kit4p 835050
https://www.autodoc.co.uk/valeo/1110352
The 835050 kit has superseded the older Valeo kits under part numbers 835010,835058,835059,835065. So hypothetically speaking if you come across any of these 5 Valeo part #'s they will all work for the same vehicles just the 050 version being the newest and probably the "most improved" version.
Next one MAPCO 10789 Clutch Kit
https://www.autodoc.co.uk/mapco/13835304
From what I can tell MAPCO is another reputable company and they are based in Germany, not sure how popular they are over there across the channel but it's considered a good brand over here. Similar to the Valeo kit it is meant to convert the stock DMF to an SMF.
So the Next and Last is probably my favorite of the bunch so far, I will have to do more research before pulling the trigger but the next 2 go hand in hand.
BLUEPRINT Clutch Kit ADV183071
&
KM Germany Clutch Kit 069 1553
https://www.autodoc.co.uk/blue-print/13914551
https://www.autodoc.co.uk/km-germany/13203507
After further research, it turns out BLUEPRINT is actually under the company KM Germany along with SWAG and FEBI Bilstein... This makes up the "BilsteinGroup" a small passage from there website states...
Brand consolidation: Bilstein group strengthens clutch competence
Kary + Mangler GmbH including its clutch brand KM was taken over last year and successfully integrated into the organization of the globally operating Bilstein group. The KM clutch range has been transferred to the product brands Febi (for commercial vehicles) and Blue Print (for passenger cars).
So While researching, I was able to find some good sources and I figured I might as well drop there in here for the next guys looking around.
MAPCO's Website has a nice little parts search tool.

KM/Bilstein groups website where you can read all about the merge of the companies and do further research yourself into parts you may need.

As for Valeo, there are a lot of cool resources...
PDF of all their clutch kits by part number and what cars they correspond to...

Valeo's main website
https://www.valeo.com/en/trust-the-transmission-systems-specialist/
Here is something cool, Valeo's service website which includes how-to guides for fitment, huge online parts catalog, online training and diagnostics help, and a technical bulletin.

Lastly also from Valeo is there massive online parts catalog which I really really like I recommend taking a look at it.

I know this is a lot of info to read but bear with me. Anyone who has been searching for an "OEM" rated DMF to SMF conversion for the 02m 6-speed transmission has probably had a difficult ass time. Many people might say oh just go with A G60 flywheel and have it milled down to the weight you want... problem is the g60 doesn't work for the 6 speed because it requires a larger 240mm size when the G60 is 228mm. For me, the goal isn't to find a super lightweight flywheel because everyone knows the 02m is prone to flywheel chatter when you go too light. of course, i would like to save some rotating mass but the main goal for me is durability so my flywheel doesn't grenade when I am at track days, or during the heavily spirited driving we do here in Germany. That being said the Valeo kit states its 18kg... and the only information I can find on the OEM DMF and clutch setup brings me to 17kg... to me this sounds a bit off I would think some information is being left out here. Therefore tomorrow morning I will be calling Valeo, Mapco, and KM/BluePrint, to get the exact weights of the kits and maybe some other information like maximum recommended torque rating, etc.
The next step is to also try to find the weight of the OEM clutch and flywheel assembly including the central slave cylinder and bolts.
For the moment I am leaning more to buying the KM/Blueprint because of the fact I've had great results using Bilstein products on a range of vehicles, on and off-road uses. But I will wait to pull the trigger for 2 weeks or so after hopefully a discussion on here with fellow members, conversations with each company, and dropping my tranny out to weigh the stock parts when I can't find a solid source.
What do you guys think? If anyone else has any other sources just drop it below, I really had a hard time finding information for the 6 speed 02m I was even lurking all over other the threads like vortex, etc, I figured when I found it I should share it with the community so its easier for the next bloke down the road.
I hope this helps someone and if I've posted it in the wrong section or if I can improve on anything please don't hesitate to let me know! No filters necessary, I won't get butt hurt promise
