I was cleaning the car today and found there is a grey plastic cylinder about 2inch long that sticks out from the floor ( ie a loud pedal stop ) is this suppose to be here ? and what happens if its taken off do you get 1 inch of extra movement ;)

Also why does the rear screen steam up every time you hit the loud pedal ?

Its suppost to be there and if you remove it you will find it will do nothing to increase the effect of the accelerator.
The rear window steams up cause the cabin air is forced towards the back of the car

The rear window steams up when you give it some stick because of the exhaust. When the car is cold the condensation in the exhaust is burnt off and produces steam. Due to the fact that the rear of the leon is quite blunt and steep the airflow draws the steam up over your rear window.
