As it says folks, I've got my PC 7424 and now need a transformer to:-

A) Fit the 2 pin plug (Easy to find)
B) One that can take the wattage of the PC, this is my question. I found pleanty that step down to 110v but I'm concered about the wattage that the PC produces. Some transformers go to 300w but does anyone know how may watts the PC produces?

I don't want to buy my transformer and it takes say, 100w and the PC produces 250w!

I have checked the PC box/instructions also, cannot find any reference to it other than 3.7amps 110v.

Thanks.

I've got a 3.3kva transformer for mine, and instead of cutting the plug on the PC, i swapped the plug on the extension cable for the transformer, and replaced it with this:

Think it cost about £3 all in.

Or you could get this instead, and it includes the extension cable:

Cheers, so I have to cut the wire then? You can't use something from Maplins etc like this?

1.0kva is 1000w I take it? (not that clued up on these sort of conversions)

The one in your link isn't man enough for the job, it would overload instantly.

I also use a 3.3kva (3300 Watts), but that is overkill for what you need, so there is no need to pay the extra for that capacity.

I just replaced the whole lead in the PC for a 10 metre one, wired properly into the back of the machine so there is no need for another extension lead.

Saying that, I only use the PC for glaze and sealants, the rest of my work is done on a rotary.
