Not had an issue with the battery at all untill yesterday morning, Tried to start it and it was sooo lazy it wouldn't turn over

Got it jump started so i could get to work, Came to 5pm and it JUST had enough power to turn over... however, i lost my indicators, wipers and a few dash lights were stuck on (TCS etc)

Drive it 15 mile to my uncles, left it 10 mins and it was flat as a fart again...

Ran it 40 mile to try get some life into it, parked up and tried to start it again - nothing

Jump started it again this morning, drove 10 mile to work... as soon as i stopped i switched it off and instantly tried to start it.... not a thing!! New battery job or possible alternator? Anybody had this before?

Thought it might be alternator as the battery is showing a strong green light

What's the damage gonna be for an alternator?

Bargain mate. Yeh piece of piss to fit as there right on the top. Just a case of taking the belt off and undoing the 2 bolts and obviously taking the electrical connections off. Dissconect the battery aswel as theres a permenant live to the alternator

only thing that has pickled me about this thread is that your battery is still showing a strong green light???
so it should have juice to turn your car over

--confused--

You could try getting a mulitmetre on the alternator when the cars running to see how much currents going through it.

But if the alternators fooked its going to kill off the battery power until its empty. Is the battery showing a strong green light before or after it dies?

Yeah the battery shows a green light all the time

But this morning i put the ignition on and wipers were super sluggish, as if it was dead.... jumped it from a mates car and everything was sweet straight away

Drove to work, Tried to start it again - nothing
