Good price for spray work?

Took the car to a reputable bodyshop on friday.

Was hoping to get a full spray (minus the roof and bonnet-they had already been done by the previous owner), I was qoted £2,500, which was way past my budget.

So he looked at doing the bits I needed doing, which is the one side, the rear quater on the nearside is really badly faded (due to the lack of uv inhibiters in the lacquer).
Hes going to spray the whole nearside and the front bumper.
The arches have given way at the back (due to someone not treating the arches after rolling them).

So im going to be getting a nearside spray, both rear arches sorted & a machine polish all round for £900.

What prices have other people paid?

my guess is with it being yellow if it's anything like the kiwi, you haven't got a hope in hell of getting an exact match on all the panels :( seems a fair bit of money though for that but i know not a lot really :)

No idea how much these cost but after my recent experience, get some one who is recommended, etc and if the price is a little too high save up the pennies. My car only needed a new rear bumper after I got shunted at some traffic lights but 6 visits later and a 7th tomorrow and still they have not got the finish right.... In addition they have not looked after the car correctly I have paint on the stearing wheel, damage to a rear light cluster, scuffed alloy and chipped pain grrrr

I have a number of a guy in Bolton who sprays show cars and the like, he did my mates Del Sol CRX year back and was a pukka finish.

you have to find someone that is cheap but also good you dont want a full respray thats done quickly becuause you can tell

would you buy a car with overspray on rubbers etc normally mean there hiding sumthing, the cost spiral when you start removing bonded windows etc

door checks done? dont know what they are so if anyone could shed any light qould be

magic!
