Hi Guys,

I am in the process of buying a pre registered ibiza 1.8t fr for my wife. So far i have found 2 and was wondering if they are at fair prices with the face lift model being released in the near future.

The first one is in yellow and priced at 9995 with 6 months tax and mats. It was registed in september 2005 (55 plate) It seems that it is a late registered 2004 model as it has no stereo controls on the steering wheel. It has 15 miles on the clock

The second is in platinum and priced at 10,795 with 6 months tax and mats. It was registered in october 2005 and is a 2005 model year car.

I am leaning towards the yellow at the moment as it seems better value, my only concern being the colour and resale. I'm also a little concerned about it being a 2004 spec car being registered on a 55 plate.

Were there any other differences apart from the steering wheel controls between 04 and 05 model years?

Any feedback/suggestions much appreciated.

p.s these seem to be rock bottom prices as i have spent half the day trying to negotiate them further.

I bought mine in Sept 2004 and i didnt have the steering wheel contols, 3rd headrest in the back although I had heated mirrors and middle sun-visor that other later ones didnt have.
You shouldnt have to pay any more than 9,900 for a pre-reg model. I only paid 11,800 for my brand new FR TDI in 2004 which was 1,195 off. I would have though you could get a better bargain now with the new model out and especially on the 1.8T FR.....
