this is getting confusing - over 3 threads try sticking to one and we can get all the info then

ref : the pics (3) in one or other of the threads

1 - is a block mounted knock sensor 2 fitted on the face of the block between the cylinders and they lead up to a connector block on the front of the block (1 white 1 black) and are used to make sure your engine doesn't pink under load (safety measure to keep an eye on the timing basically)

2 - is a 2 pin screw in brass sensor that feedswhat i thought was ecu temp signal - if you disconnect it and replug it in you'll hear the engine tone change but ill have to get the part number off it to double check

3- clips into the hose housing above the one pointed at in pic 2 see the brown connector with a large rad hose coming out - on the ABF its usually 4 pin - mines brown 4 pin if it helps as i have A/C but i'm sure they are usually black/yellow ring that is listed for temp gauge and control unit

the airflow sensor that clips in the air intake is long thin and black with an opening with a sort of wire blob in the end

it all gets confusing depending on engine and spec as they use the same holes and shape sensor for different things

story update temp sensor arived today fitted it took it for a test drive and it did die on me @ a junction but the car seemd to be running better it wont conk out wen its warm so im gunna leave it to cool down and try again

1 question to these sensors need time to adjust? or anything simular or should it just work when pluged in?
