Recently purchased a 1.2 TDI Ecomotive ST (2011), whilst driving on the motorway the glowplug light on the dash came on, straight after there was a noticeable loss in power and the car would struggle to pick up speed, I used the cruise control to manage to keep it at decent speed 60-70 mph. Turned the car off and on and the warning light was gone. Got the car fully serviced, changing all the oils etc. The mechanic said only two faults came up it was either EGR or fuel pressure. He changed the fuel pressure sensors. Picked the car up thinking all my issues were solved, took the car on the motorway and after about 15 miles the light came on again, turned the car off and back on the light was gone. Took it back to the garage and the issue was now showing a code about turbo overboost.
Anyone had similar issues with the glowplug warning light and what could it possibly be?
