glow plug light flashing

hi i have a leon cupra 53 plate standard apart from alloys went for drive tonight car warm and glow plug light came on flashing, checked brake lights all ok no difference in driving or power any ideas

faulty glow plugs ?? when was they last replaced??

the car has done 48k as far as i am aware they have not been replaced ,would this bring light flashing on wen driving as it went of wen i started the car

plug it into vagcom or some sort of code reader, if the light has come on there will be a fault code registered in the ecu.

Could be a sensor in the engine. My Leon FR TDi did this and it was a wire connecting a sensor.
