gloss black rs4's on a black leon?

My mates got some rs4 reps that he had reburbished in gloss black not long ago for his golf, what do you guys think? seen some silver ones on a white leon n that look pretty sweet.


btw they are 18" 's and may need some need tyres for fronts but think he wants like £350 for em.



I do wana go gloss black at some stage for my alloys whatever i get.

I think £350 is a bit much for them to be honest mate, they're common as muck and quite cheap new. I paid about that for my 18" US Spec R32 (VW Omanyt) alloys and they had brand new Toyo Proxes-4 tyres on them.

saw a black a3/a4 hatchback earlier with rs4 wheels in grey/athrites and it looked beautiful.

Thats not what he ment , he ment you would need to think about the fact that good tyres are going to be about £100 each.

They really want to be good ones as a brand new set of RS4 rep wheels with brand new tyres are only £400.

FK452s are probably the best of the lower priced tyres. Personally, I wouldn't pay any more than £250 for the wheels, as Adam says, they're only around £400 new and you're going to have to buy 2 new tyres.

Personally mate, I think you'll get a much better deal for your £350. Ebay and the various mk4 platform forums will see you right.

I got them on ebay. Purely by chance, I looked for wheels ending within 24 hours and within 75 miles of me. These came up and I bagged them at a reasonable price with the Proxes-4s, they'd have been around £700 new.

So you could buy a second hand set with part worn cheap tyres for £350 and may need to spend another £60 on a tyre...............or you can spend £400 on a brand new set with brand new tyres?
