git-16v brake lines

hi all hope some one can help im after some braided lines for my ibiza gti 16v but as its the 16v its fitted with the 280mm brakes i carnt seem to find lines for it goodridge only list lines upto 1996 with the smaller brakes does anyone know if they have the same fittings or knows anywhere i can get some braided lines. thanks again

Im sure i saw a set on ebay somewhere. I dont know what car they are actually for. I will have a look for you mate.

the ones for the smaller brakes will do fine.... the callipers are no further away from the hose mounting point in the arch... and they use the same connections as far as I'm aware

Other then goodridge there is black diamond but you would need to get in touch with them as they do not list any for the Ibiza.

I was reading this a few days ago. Make of it what you will, but I think it's worth a look if you're thinking about installing braided lines.

that is cheap... given that stock rubber front hoses are about £20ea

If you want long lasting (relatively speaking) stick to OEM lines. If you want more protection and performance try synthetic cloth braided lines (if anyone is specifically marketing them for the NSX I don't know; if not, custom made by a fluid fastener maker is an option if you can find someone willing to make them for you). That last comment is an option not a recommendation.

they even sell the 'bits' to make up your own

thanks for the responce guys i checked the part numbers online and it looks like goodridge may fit i will phone my motor factors and see if the oem part numbers are the same. will let you know what ii find out asap

OE Part number for front brake hose is: 6K0611701

and that's for all Mk2 Ibiza's
