Getting to the rear washer motor

Got the old leaky rear washer problem. Nothing coming out of the nozzle.. open the boot.. pours out of the boot latch area.

I've had a search and seen the scary threads about boot trim removal. Quick question..

A few threads mention it's an easier job if you remove the "rear light clusters"

Are we talking about the access panels inside the boot? If so.. the outer ones (indicators etc) or the inner (boot lid) ones (fog lamps) or both ?

Are we talking about actually removing the entire light clusters ?

If you only want to get to the motor in the tailgate there is no need to remove any lights just remove the trim.

I'm not sure thats what you mean tho?

Yes it is what I meant.

I need to get under the trim. Lots of past threads say its a hell of a lot easier if you remove the "rear light clusters" to do this.. but I'm not certain what they mean exactly.

I guess they mean the lights in the tailgate as I think you can get to the bolts by removing the covers in the trim.

Seems a lot of messing about to me, I just removed the whole cover and left the lights where they were.

If you remove the lights on the actual boot you can get to the release clips for the trim very easily through the gap they leave.

I've tried to get to the rear screen wash pipe itself as no rear screen wash working for me. trying to get your hand up behind the plastic is a **** to say the least, all the threads i've read indicate its quite easy. I seem to manage the more complicted jobs ok (turbo swaps etc) but its the simpler jobs that get me.
Maybe i need to inspect the rear motor also as this is where my problem maybe insted of inside the tailgate.

did you manage to get the rear washer working? i have the same issue and i cant be arsed to sort it yet - weather issues!

Yup.

Spent well over an hour trying to get somewhere with this months ago. HAd lights and all sorts removed and then couldn't find any way to remove a bolt/screw inside the boot (from the whole the cluster left) which appeared to hold the trim in place.

Ended up putting it back together with it still not working

so onto the side panel

1 started with the screws below the lamp unit

2 then the one behind the seat and pull shelf panel away from the side of the car to unclip

3 next to go was the trim behind the rear light cluster one screw and a good pull

4 this gave access to the side carpet panel and exposed the foam block which needed to go

5 now you can see where the screenwash collected

the small flood of screenwash here confirmed to me I had the leaking joint

6 carpet removed and I find the leaking joint

put it all back together and works fine no alarm so far

is this just a stage 1 revo with 199HP .......rolling roaded?? i ask because i have stage 1 and just wondering
