Right!! Just picked up my FR and everything in Media plus works fine except trying to connect my sansadisk mp3 player. Read the manual and see the source button where you are supposed to be able to press it and choose USB. When you initially plug the media in to the MP3 player it "sees" the device but and says it is uploading but then defaulrs to "no information available. Bluetooth phone connection to my HTC phone is fine and CD and radio and satnav. Anyone have any ideas on how to choose/ get it to see my MP3 connected via media in cable?

I can't get music to stream over Bluetooth from my phone, haven't tried the USB yet. SD card works well though. Sorry, haven't been much help.

Does the sandisk player need to be put in to a certain mode, sometimes these devices have an option to be detected as a storage device (what the car could read) or a media serving device (that the car cannot read)

Swahealy I'm afraid I can't help you but glad to see you've picked up the new car :D

Bless you my son!! lol!!! Thanks! Yes picked her up yesterday! I was sad to see my Mk 6 Golf 1.4 TSI GT go . But I do have a great perspective to see how the Leon 1.8 TSI FR stacks up to what is considered the "best" family hatchback. She was only a 61 plate so still new.
So, I just love the Leon!! Love the "infotainment!" system and everything works. Build quality is on a par with the mk6 Golf if not better. Just have to work out the "media in"!! I will in time.
She drives fantastically well even though as she is new I have not obviously driven her past 3ooo rpm yet. But even under those constraints she goes like a b**t**d!!! Have the "normal" seats and they are really good. Great support but I dont think I have found my exact sweet spot yet!! To excited about driving her to Pfaff about too much at the mo.
LED lights are superb and everything "bar" the parking feature wing mirrors works. Synchronised adjustment etc and folding. I know you have to have it in L or is it R? Reading the manual I assumed it was R for mainland europe and L for the UK since we drive on different sides? I have read the threads about it being stopped but I thought I would see if it could work!!
The Monsant metallic red is really deep and looks superb! I will try and take a pic. But that may have to be next week as now dark nights when I get home from work.
So phone connected and have contacts, sound system is a wow but have not mucked about with it too much yet. Are the Bass controls on the equaliser on the left and the treble on the right? It seems so to me...
Gear change is very smooth and the steering is light when you need it and stiffens up when you press on. Great feel!! I actually like the park assist and have got used to it already. It is the first car I have had it on. Of course I have it in sports mode but have also now got used to the "stop/start"!! Forgot to turn it off last night and wondered what the slight clunk was when I put the car in gear when I pulled away!! Had the radio on so it was more a feel than anything!! Then realised it was the engine coming back on as I depressed the clutch and not the gearbox :).
So, having turned this into a review I am very very happy!! And there are no rattles, it all welled screwed together. That may be a result of my dealer having a week to prepare it for me before handover as agreed.
Will take a pic and update next week!!! Happy motoring all!!!

Great little review :) Sounds like your in love with your Leon as much as i am lol! Agree with everything you said! The infotainment is terrific and i'm still yet to explore the full capabilities of it! Just like you, i'm slowly getting used to the stop start system! Something weird about sitting at traffic lights and there is no engine noise.... Mines is going back to the dealers in 2 weeks to get a rattle on the door looked at. Nothing major but just a bit annoying! I've just came from a fiesta 1.6tdci (90bhp) so basically i've got double the horses! For the first time since having it, i popped it into sports mode and went a proper 20 minute blast around the back roads! The torque is just something else!! Looking forward to the picture but yeh it's a bit unfortunate we're heading into Winter with brand new cars :( Mines is getting detailed in a couple of weeks to prepare it for those cold, salty months!
On mine, if you synchronse the mirrors and put it into R (i think) they both go down the same :) started getting annoying though as i usually only use it for parking up at home and that only requires one side lol so turned it off!! Look forward to those pics!!

So the parking tilt is set it "R".. When does it tilt down? When you put it in reverse gear? I thought that and have tried it in L and R but does not tilt at the mo. I will work it out eventually if it does actually work!! Not something I am too bothered about to be honest. Just that and the media in playing my MP3. I will check the device though just to see if it needs to be in a certain setting.

Hi Guys, from what I have seen it looks like the dipping kerb feature on passenger mirror (when you put car into reverse) was stopped from build week 22 (wc 27th May 2013)
Having looked at the latest October 2013 Brochure the feature is being reinstated and when I asked about it before ordering my car the Dealer thinks it might be reinstated from build week 45 but they were not 100%

When I collected my new Leon, I was given a note explaining that reinstatement of the mirror reverse kerb function has been delayed from planned build week 45 and will not now be included until build week 49 2013 (2 December 2013) and also that it cannot be retro fitted or recoded.

Thanks for the update FRTSIman, hmmm interesting that it has been pushed back to week 49 :(
Although I have not been given a build date yet, I might not get this feature now as build week 49 is the first week in December! I placed an order on 15th Oct so I would assume I would get a build week before week 49.

I'm quite gutted as it is a good feature to have IMHO. BTW does anybody know if you can get the factory to amend your build week once assigned, for example if I get assigned build week 48 - can I get the factory to build the car a week later so I get the kerb feature?? :)

Had a follow up call from Irene at the dealers who is the person I have bought my last 3 cars from (she was at SG Smith VW Norbury until VW asked for an exorbitant renewal of the franchise so moved to SEAT). Asked if all was ok and I said all was good apart from the "media in" issue which I said I would sort in time. Straight away she has arranged for their tech guy to look at it Saturday morning and sort it!! Thats what I call customer service and one advantage of knowing the person you are buying from! So all is good!

Thought I would post an update. Today, all of a sudden, I have all my music on my mp3 player. Did muck about with the settings on the MP3 player but dont honestly know what I actually changed!! It may just be that with 600 items it just needed time to recognise and upload. Now have it all in three folders so a happy bunny!! Only had the car a week and not had a chance to go on a decent journey (still only 60 miles on her) but she is a lovely thing to drive and to be! And now it is turning chillier I have to say how quickly it warms up!!
