Getting a remap

Good choice on the p-torque front dude, My mate does evolution chips remaps, what happenes is he goes round and reads the files out of the ecu, sends them to evolution chips and they send them back with the map applied and he writes them to the vehicle, at p-torque he will vag-com the car, dyno it, map it, dyno it so you have a better chance of knowing if something is a miss, plus if you have a concern you can easily contact him and get his advice.

customcode/JBS in chesterfield isnt that far from Notts. worthwhile considering them as i think p-torque is about 3hrs away when i checked.

just to clarify the comic value of stating 'chip' or 'chipping':

when remapping cars older techniques would require that the ecu chip was physically replaced with an alternative chip. Thus the phrase chipping.

However, if you take your seat to get it remapped they will not replace the chip or in fact go anywhere near the ecu.
They will simoply modify the software by plugging into the diagnostics port and uploading new software.

So no new chip, so its not really chipping.
So its not remapping :)
