General Service Advice

I posted this in the MK2 thread but no replies so I thought I'd try my luck here.

Hi guys. My car (Seat Ibiza MK2 GT TDi 1.9 110bhp) is just about to go into service on its 130k kms mark. I will take it then from the service station straight to the Revo dealer for an engine remap. Hence I ask.

Can you please advice me on what to tell the mechanic to pay particular attention to at this service. I think usually they just change filters, oil etc. and see if it still runs. Since its going for a diagnostic/remap though is there anything specific I should tell the mechanic to pay particular attention to or even specifically ask him to change it.

Someone already suggested diesel filter, but I think they do that anyway.

Thnx so much steww I'll book it in for tomorrow. I'll also take a couple of pictures of my car to create a signature or something. Needs a good clean first though.

nop... Only if I take it to the Official VAG garage, but it'll cost double.

Anyway I like to wash and clean the car myself, as noone does a thorough job these days.

Got it back from service a week ago. Top notch job. GBP70 for service and GBP 25 for MOT. Think its good bargain.

Unfortunately revo does not do a remap for my engine so I'm 'stuck' with the original bhp and performance. :(
