Gear knobs again

I know this has probably been done to death and I have searched the forum for answers but here goes.

I've removed the old gear knob and want to replace it but finding an aftermarket one is proving to be very difficult.

Here's my question, does anyone on here know where I can find a supplier either on the web or close to where I live in NW London?

Many thanks

probably but imo it doesnt look right, the chrome ruins it

if you dont have a cupra then the knobs from a golf gti orbeetle turbo wont fit mate

for a tenner that aint going to be the best....

Cheers, thanks for the advice, it does look a bit chavvy. I'm going to a Seat dealer on Monday and will order one through them, I don't want to take any chances in getting the wrong one.
Cheers

Just so you know, I bought the 5-speed Spherical Air metal/aluminium - Reference: 5P1064320 shown in the thread above for my 52 plate 1.6S

Although it is a 5 speed pattern on the knob itself, it does not fit the 5 speed shaft - or at least it didn't fit mine. I ended up doing a lot of work with it and have got it to fit, but it wasn't for the faint-hearted. I ended up spending about £20 just buying aluminium shafts and drillbits to make the damn thing fit!

I bought mine off ebay from this guy who I later spotted on here saying it didnt fit his 5 speed!

You have been warned! If it's too late and you want to know how to get it to fit i would be happy to let on.

I got one of these a few years back. For the first few months it looked a bit to shinny, but now its dulled down and fits in. I also got the the alloy dash kit a few months ago and it blends in even more. Plus it has the red led in it (wired to the petrol release button), so it almost looks oem. I know this is for BMW, but I'm sure it either fits, or they do do them for VAG cars.

Thanks for all your help guys.

I ended up going to a SEAT dealer in Datchet. They sold me the wrong part (was for an Ibiza). When I told him he looked on the SEAT portal and said that they may now be discontinued, luckily they are not. There are very few gear knobs available for a 54 plate Leon 1.6. He has ordered a knob that will fit, it's the carbon style one and should be with me in a couple of weeks.

So, anyone out there thats looking to replace their gear knob on a 54 plate SEAT Leon, there are very few choices and you will probably need to go to a main dealer.

Get down to a VW Stealers and get a mk5 Polo gearknob and gaiter, the perforated leather type one. Feels great, looks great, and is only 25 quid including the VAT for a genuine part.

I just painted mine red around the top after the black started to peel off.
