G22 Sensor/Vehicle Speed Sensor

Hi,

My Leon's showing a fault with the G22 Sensor and the speedo isn't working (well intermittently). Can anyone tell me what sensor it is I need to replace as I'm struggling to get a definitive answer.

I posted my full Vagcom log in the relevant section:

However no one seems to know for definite. Ideally if someone can post a link to the right thing sensor to buy that would be great.

Cheers!

G22 is the speedometer sender (no surprise there then) which is located in the gearbox. It's in the top of the diff case, towards the back of the engine compartment.

Check the cabling coming from the sensor on the back of the gearbox, the plug may be loose or just full of muck. :)

Will be cheaper than a new sensor ;)

new sensor is about £50 i broke the plastic bit on mine a couple of weeks ago and took it to the dealer for a new one as there is only 1 bolt holding it in and they said it was circa £50. I decided to glue the plastic bit back on :)
