Fuse Box Layout

My windscreen washers have stopped working and the motor isn't making a noise.

Wanted to check the fuse but after consulting the handbook cannot find a fuse diagram or anything to do with the washers.

Does anyone have a fuse layout diagram or can anyone assist me in which fuse it is?

According to my manual it's fuse 19 in engine bay fuse box.

thanks. I did try that one but the fuse was intact but whilst it was removed the wipers wouldn't work at all.

My front wipers overloaded and blew the fuse in the recent snow. Manual stated that the 30amp fuses are for wipers and there were only two. Removes both and saw which one has blown and changed it. Hope that helps

So took the car to the dealer for them to locate the fuse. They couldn't find where it was either (didn't fill me with much confidence). Anyway they took the car round the back to have a look at it and they miraculously started working again (they had tested them in the car park to no avail). They had no idea what it could have been, as it's been over a week they hadn't been working.

On a side note in the Alhambra there is no fuse the ECU isolates the washers if it detects a problem and it has to be reset by disconnecting the battery. This is what they were going to try, but they started working again before they did it.

Sounds like OBDEleven or equivalent may have helped

Has been cold up your way Andy? Could it be the motor/pipe was frozen?

My Wifes Seat Ibiza did that,it was the 7.5A fuse....if that helps.Replaced all fine now.

Where did you find fuse guide? I can’t believe there is no guide where fuses are, what a shame seat...

Go to the FAQs section and look for the post by Stevan (still on Page 1). He provides a link to detailed information on all fuses and fuse boxes on the MK7 Golf, which is essentially the same car. Not everything will be identical but the information is worth having.
