funny goings on when accelerating

just wondering what this could be when im on the motoway doing around 70 in sixth gear i full throttle it and th car seems to be accelerating but hesitating like the turbos coming in and out of boost its only slight but it shouldnt do it should it ive had it on a vag com and this code is brought up p0118 engine coolant sensor could this sensor cause this problem ive ordered the new sensor which i will fit tommorow also the car revs eraticly when idoling sometimes it seems to miss then rev up to about 1500rpm then settles could this be the coolant sensor causing these problems any advice appreciated

I've had something similar on an A3 ARY engine - I'm wondering if it's MAF related?

just fitted the new coolant sensor after finding out it was faulty the car seems a lot smoother now and doesnt hesitate when accelerating all in all cost me 33 quid from the dealers for the new sensor the seal and the clip hopefully no more mishaps
