Fuel temperature sensor (G81)

Hi,

Just plugged vag-com into my car and it came up with 00539 fuel temperature sensor G81. I have tried looking up this part but nobody seems to stock it. Any ideas? Where is it, what part is it?

Sorry, didn't know where to post this question.

Would this temperature sensor have an effect on the boost control. My car goes into limp mode at 300rpm in 4th gear. I have vag commed it and it is the boost control soleinod valve as well as G81 sensor. I have replaced this valve and it is still going into limp mode. What I would like to know is whether the G81 sensor would cause this if not I know that I have a leak in a pipe somewhere. If the G81 sensor does have an effect I will replace first.

the sensor is under the top cover of the pump and once off I think is just a couple of screws, I would think the best place to source one would be a Bosch outllet and I don't think they would cost much, do a search for a how-to on Fred's http://forums.tdiclub.com/categories.php

A dodgy fuel temp sensor will slightly affect your timing/fueling.

it woudlnt cause limp mode, it would only make it overfuel thus making it slighly lumpy.
