Fuel leak advice pic.. Worth giving yours a check!

As some of you may have read i have had a fuel leak in the last day in which Seat assistance sent the AA blokey out to have a look at.

The reason my breather hose is holed is because it was above (and rubbing on) a hanger underneath the car. The AA blokey has temporarily fixed it, which you wil see in the pic...

my advice to everyone is make sure your breather hose is not above the hanger that i have shown in the pic. mine is now hanging free and shouldnt cause a prob again when it is replaced.

Its worth just sticking your head under the rear bumper (o/s) just so you dont loose any petrol at some point in the future and it will save you a mountain of phone calls and visits to Seat..

Yeah nice one for that. Only takes a few minutes to check I guess and could save a lot of hassle :)

UPDATE: went to Seat today.. they cant just replace the pipe, it a whole fuel tank jobby... oops.. they did say they would give me a new cupra for the day though.... :)

Right, that's it, if they are giving away Cupras for the day I'm taking a knife to my tank! Lucky git ;)

:lol: I havent got it yet... i'm sure they'll come up with some excuse on the day. i cant believe Seat have designed something like that.. it seems silly to have a push in fitting one end and a tank the other.. they must be idiots :doh:
