Hey guys and gals!
I cleaned the EGR Valve as best I could (without dismantling it) yesterday and also put in a bottle of Diesel Injector Cleaner in to half a tank of fuel, me and my brother went out for a little run to give the car a thrash to see if any change with the turbo would be noticed, turbo kicked in more but my brother Sean said that he had to reapply the accelerator most of the time to get the turbo to kick in.
After we came back, we left it on the drive and then when two of my cousins came round they had a look and a listen, both suggested that with the way the engine was behaving it seemed more of a fuel problem than a turbo problem. No smoke out the back, turbo kicking in well on idle (working fine when it is running while driving), though when the power doesn't want to be there you can floor the pedal and it won't give it, the engine rattles/judders quite badly if you release the accelerator pedal and it has stalled itself the odd occasion.
Anyway, putting it past all that wall of text haha, I came here to find out about recommendations to sort out or clean the injectors properly? I have used the additive way for now but I am sure I have seen somewhere on how to clean them properly but that might have to be done at a garage right?
I've uploaded a video on youtube so you can all see what the engine sounds like (as well as get a glimpse of my brother and hear our lovely northern voices lmfao!) and also see how the engine judders when the power isn't there after taking the foot off the pedal. What do you lot personally think is happening? I can make another video if you need further footage, with the cover off and this time a better rotation of the video haha! Just let me know what you think and whether I'm actually on the right track to solving my power loss problem please?
