I have just finished giving my car a full service. Oil and filters etc etc etc.......

But one filter I couldn't find is the fuel filter..... I looked in engine bay and all along underside of car.

Whilst buying all my spares from euro carparts it didn't list any fuel filter for my car.

Am I correct in assuming there is no filter. Surely not?

If there is one could someone please shed some light on its location.

Thanks in advance.....

Hi,

Is your car diesel or petrol? I know on a diesel it's in the bottom left corner of the engine bay. A petrol one may not need to be changed as frequently.

I haven't checked the 1.2tsi but all the other recent petrol SEAT'S ive seen have had the fuel filter attached to the fuel tank at the back of the car. The idea being the filter keeps the fuel lines free from sediment.

Thanks. I will look again here too. So I wonder why erocarparts or Mister auto or eBay don't list any filters for my car. Wonder if it's a dealer only part......

I found 2 instances of this pic for petrol

This explains why no one list stand alone filters... There built into the entire unit that goes inside the tank.

Well that cleared that up... Once again thanks for the link...

I could be wrong but I'm sure there's another filter cartridge that's inline on the fuel hose located under side of care in front of rear wheels
