Fuel filter change question...

Just a quick question, when replacing the fuel filter, I read somewhere suggesting filling the new filter up with injector cleaner and topping off with new diesel. Can I confirm this is OK? Changing my filter tomorrow, and I have a bottle of cleaner, so wanted to make sure its fine to fill the filter up with this. (Well it will probably need to be topped off with diesel as I think the filter holds a fair amount)

Any experiences?

Read on the injector cleaner bottle the recommended dilution rate. You are asking is it Ok to fill the filter housing with a bottle of straight injector cleaner which will go straight through your engine in a few seconds. If you cannot work out the correct answer after reading the above please give your car keys to a responsible adult and use the bus as transport instead.

Thats why I was asking, I've seen it suggested on here in the past, just couldn't find the thread. Was slightly unsure if putting the cleaner in at the point of the filter was ok, but it presumably passes through the system if its applied via the fuel tank.

No need to pass my keys to anyone, asking a simple question like I have, has no bearing on my ability to drive whatsoever.

Personally i dont think it does any harm to put a fuel system flush into the fuel filter, the likes of forte is what we use normally. Its quite a low risk flush and doesnt increase the cetain levels and alot of the fuel from the filter is recirculated back to the filter, cooler and tank anyways.

I wouldnt drop a bottle of millers in the filter though!

was going home tonight to do a fuel filter and oiln filter change , and someone has suggested the same as above , so i have bough some wynns injector cleaner ,

but am a bit hesitant to whack the full bottle in ,

can anyone else shed some light here , so i mix with some diesel first

they suggested this method as it will be less diluted and get straight to injectors

also suggested i used 10k boost stuff to spray to De coke the system

any feedback l
