Front wiper/rear wiper

Hiya folks,

Done a quick search but couldn't find exactly the answer im looking for.

Had an Octavia VRS before my Cupra (2001) on both models I was under the impression that on flicking the rear wiper the front would also wipe once...?

Well that function was working on the cupra but seems to have stopped working, anything I can try to fix this??

mine doesn't do this? however my wipers sometimes go when i indicate?!

I know that when I use my rear wiper, it likes to switch on the washer no matter how lightly I press it to stop it to make sure it doesn't use the washer!

Noticed that mine does do this today, didn't realise! I've only had it a few weeks though. Push to wipe rear window, get single wipe of front also.
