front suspension grindy noise

I complained to my local dealer about suspension noise back at the 10k service, they said they'd heard it but no idea what it was and could I wait for it to get worse. Well it has so it's been there for 3 days and they replaced the n/s cv joint as it was knackered. I get back home, go to drive onto my driveway and its grinding still

Any ideas? Hard right hand lock and then I drive up a drop kerb and there's an almighty grinding noise.

Ive had a few problems with mine. My grinding noise is from a bit of the rubber boot covering the suspension getting caught up inside it. Its around here somewhere. Jack the car up and have a look.

sounds to me like its either 1 of these two reasons

1.wheelsheild is rubbing the wheel put it on full lock and get under the car and have a look how close the tyre is to the wheel sheild

2.droplink is contacting the driveshaft

I'd guess it was more like number 2 than number 1 as its a "graunch" (like a crack in a wishbone and 2 broken metal bits rub against each other) , i'm taking it down there tomorrow and will report back when (if) they fix it.......

So its still sat at the closest dealer to me. Will call them tomorrow to see what they've found.

had my car in at local seat dealer today for a similar noise. after 30seconds in the car the bloke says its probably the roll bar bushes (apparantly its a common problem with VAG) or something in that area. he ordered new bushes n a few other parts and its booked in tomoro so hopefully the noise will soon be gone (and hopefully at there cost since its cars still under warranty). hope this helps

They rang me today and said they'd ordered anti roll bar and bushes (or maybe just bushes) and wishbone bushes too. All due in tomorrow, which is good cos its being sold on Friday!

anti roll bar id imagine would cause this noise all the time over bumps and j500ant only gets it when on fulllock right and goingover a bump

turns out ma problem was a busted droplink, problems completely gone now and it was covered by warranty so its all good!

Mine is all quiet again, thankfully. I also asked them to sort the radio code out but they cant as the radio is faulty. Oh and they managed to leave a couple of greasy handprints on it (to go with the blob of white something on the inner door handle - barrier cream maybe? - on the last visit)
