Anyone got any suggestions????

Suffering with wot feels like a bit of vibration thought the front end, and the steering sometimes feels like im forcing it to turn when i first move or from being stopped......Also noticed it being a bit lumpy and drifting at bit whilst driving.

Fluid levels look ok and the tyres are good with correct pressure....

?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

It's a process of elimination I'm afraid

Start with the cheap stuff, wheel balancing then tracking.

Also have a check of the tyres themselves with the steering on lock, look for lumps, bulges and check for even wear front and rear.

Get the dealers to check the power steering system out for you

When the car is having the tracking done ask the people doing it to look for damage to suspension etc.

I had vibration with a droning sound and the car pulled left, tyre showed signs of being mullered by a dodgy damper

That tyre was rear near side but I missed it, outside edge of tyre was fine, inside edge of tyre as the piccy. I was sure it was an issue with the front end though  First time it was noticed was whan the car was on a ramp, mechanic pulled the wheel off and felt the flat spot.

Pain in the arse doing the checks but as I say cheap stuff first, balancing and tracking should be checked once in a while anyway

Rule of thumb for me is grippier tyres on the rear not the front, I can handle a little extra understeer and judge it better than snappy oversteer.

My experience of the Leon is that catching oversteer (in the wet) is bl00dy near impossible for Joe Average driver........my written off 20VT was testement to that.

Neeleyveeley had a similar experinece last winter, round a corner and before he could blink he was pointing the way he'd come, luckily he hit nothing.....

Up to you though
