With the adaptors you use the current screws/holes to fit the adaptors onto.

The adaptors also have screw holes to mount speakers.

It's fairly straightforward once you get the door card off which can be a pain! [:@]

The only other thing you have to do is to glue the new tweeters into place where the original ones sit.

Depends what you want to do really...

sorry but why do you need a adapter - I wired up 6x9's and just took the two exisiting wires from each side and connected them to the speaks -

can this not be done to the front ones?

cheers

Depends what you stick them to - as in the photo on the link above, the existing speakers sit proud of the inner door skin so the magnets don't hit the outer door skin.

Sharky - as TIIEWL said really. It's the only way they can sit beteen the door and door card securely.

Juts done my front ones in the past month. Fitted them with some 16.5com infinity components.

used silicone rubber around the outside of the tweeters to fit them nicely behind the existing grill. Used some adaptors to fit the bass speakers. (easy to fit)

I also put some dynamat in the door and tried to sound proof it all as much as possible.

I rewired the speakers taking new cable from the iso lead at the head unit and taking it through the doors.

Its made such a difference to the front speakers - i would advise doing it to anyone now!!!!
