I have been looking at a car to buy, but it has some damage hence the low price. The front cross member has probably been squashed by 10mm.

I am fine replacing everything else, but is there a cure for such damage. The wheel alignment is fine. I was told a hydraulic puller could do the job. Any suggestions?

I mean the front crash bar, (front crumple zone area). I know the front panel can be replaced easily but not sure about these crash bars.

So what exactly has to happen? How much would it cost? I have also been told that this hydraulic might even weaken the joint main joint further so so a compromise should be considered.

mmmm my car had frong wing/passenger door replace (can tell as they botched the respray - all done before i got the car

and it does track quite badly to the right when the tracking is reset to 0... but all the panels are straight.. im just assuming thats just the "never getting it back to 'right' after a accident"

not that i drive it much anymore.. being 5min from work and 5min from the centre of town.. never need to drive anywhere :(

Thanks so far guys but does anyone else know what exactly has to happen?

What I'm really interested in, still hasn't been answered. I know about all the above.
