Front bumper removal

How do you remove the front bumper on the mk3 Ibiza? Mine has unclipped itself on one side and it looks to be on some sort of "runner" so I'm going to have to take it off and put it on again so its on properly.

Tried numerous searches and have come up with nothing and there doesn't seem to be a guide on the main site either.

Please help!

Hmm.. this is not fun:

Pull upwards to remove centre S badge and grille
Remove the 4 screws running along the top of the plastic grille (under the bonnet)
Remove number plate
Remove rubbing strip - start at one end - be careful not to snap the 'hook' that clips into the main bumper and faces towards the wheel arch. once this clip is undone, the strip will slide forwards (not easy) and then pops off along the front.
Remove screws behind strip
Pop out the covers by the fog lights and remove screws
Remove wheel arch lining screws
Pull the bumper forwards, being careful to lift the upper grille plastic that goes under the bonnet over the bonnet catch.

"Enjoy"

BTW: I'd advise getting an extra pair of hands to help with this!!

I remember using a selection of different size spoons to get these off. This step took longer than all the others put together!

it's not hard at all...

I guessed at Lorna's - no instructions & DIY

just undo until it comes off :)

gentle with the bump strips if painted, if not, then the only gash is hidden anyway

Oh I do wish it was as easy as you said. Today (Sunday) I undid all the screws/bolts and still could not remove the :censored: bumper!! - it looked to me that there was something attaching the bumper to the wings like some kind of rivets - after nearly half hour with two of us trying to pull the bumper forward it still was not budging away from the wings. Any idea what attatches the front bumper to the wings of the car?

Also ye forgot to mention about removing the torx screws right underneath the bumper as well there is 3 on each side of the bumper.

Andy.

There's runners there with clips on, which you need to push the side's of the bumper towards the back of the car, and outwards to avoid the clips.
There's a guide on the forge site somewhere about fitting the FMIC, it tells you how to do the bumper in there.
I've had a quick look cant find it at the mo.
