I've managed to snap one of the front anti roll bar bolts that goes through the subframe to the the bracket. Just wondered if the subframe is threaded or only the roll bar bracket. If its the latter then I'll just remove the other bolt and pull the bracket out. If the subframe is threaded then the bolt will need drilling out.

OK little confused, seen on the Mk5 Golf forums that the two parts of the roll bar bracket are held together with a captive nut and that you have to cut that off to split it but I have poweflex bushes fitted so does that mean they must have been split already?

Yes if you have poly bushes they yours should have already been modded to be able to be split. Also the subframe is not threaded it’s just the anti roll bar bracket that has the thread. Are you fitting a bigger anti roll bar?
