Fr150 tdi oil change

Hi all

Ive read about using vag oil for the this lump and not to use anything other than this but ive spoke to my mechanic friend and he says its only needed if you intend to run to the manufactures intervals
I usual change the oil evry 5000, kinda look after it like
Is it still needed the vag oil or can i put other makers oils in.
any advise really

You can put whatever oil you like in it but be sure it matches the minimum VWG standard specifications, yours sounds like a PD so look for VW standard 505.01 on the oil container
