FR TFSI - Running in period

Hi everyone,

I have a zenith grey FR arriving tomorrow and although I would prefer to take her for a blast tomorrow... I am assuming there will be some kind of running in period on a car like this. I remember seeing the new GTi had a 1000km / 1000mile period to let everything settle in nicely.

What is the general consensus on this or is there a recomendation from Seat?

My dealer told me there isnt a running in period, but the manual, says about 500-100 miles I think.
Its a highly debated area im afraid!!

so what did you do... listen to the dealer or the manual? Or listen to the manual for the first three days and then follow the dealers advice!?!

yeah bit of both, didnt rag it, but didnt take it too easy.

when did you order it?

i ordered mine last week and have been given April 26th as a delivery date

i almost cried
