This might be a silly question, but what would be better for performance?

Fitting: 1 - PD160 intake + Uprated panel filter
2 - Aftermarket Induction Kit

Obviously the PD160 mod will be cheaper out of the two, but what will be better for overall performance?

Cheers

Actualy, a open cone filter (or induction kit as they sometimes called) will be cheaper than buying a uprated panel filter and a PD160 intake pipe.

You wonte realy get any gains from either of them unless you are planning on getting a remap, exaust etc etc.

Yeah, but £70 is cheap as chips compared to a £230 pipercross induction kit...

Im planning on a remap and exhaust system also so that isnt a problem, id just like to save a bit of money but still get decent performance increases... I understand that cheap usually isnt est, but if its adequate, im happy :)

Would the jetex cone filter be better performance-wise than the PD160 or a sealed induction kit???

Im looking for good performance at a good price...

The only sealed induction kits I have seen are the BMC ones and there meant to be restrictive.

You wonte realy get any benifit from fitting the PD160intake.

I would go with a open cone filter all day.

Well, the cone will be cheaper, so the cone its most likely going to be...
What would the set up be like? just remove the standard box and put the cone there leaving the standard intake pipe in its original place??

Ahh seen! So, basically, if im looking to upgrade my TDi, ill need a cone filter, exhaust system, remap and FMIC???

What order would you go in? i want it going faster ASAP haha

P-Torque for the custom map? Or can you recomend another company that would be better, with it being a custom map?

How much would i be looking at for the custom map? and would it be a stage 1 or higher due to the mods ill have on the car when i go for the re-mapping???
