Apart from wheels, silver mirrors and possibly some interior differences. Apart from the FR being newer, is there alot to choose between them?

Discuss.

There is a difference in the suspension (the FR's are stiffer then the Sport's), and also there are differences in the front grills and the rear lights.

I'm going to look at an FR tomorrow, its been superchipped so not sure on what power it will be running.

I take it your clutch slips with that torque. Have you just had a Revo remap or do you have a few other bits on the Ibiza?

don't buy a superchipped one, go for an standard one then get it revo'd yourself you get one hell of a kick from 2k on with revo and yes it can cause clutch slipage but i learnt to deal with it after a couple of days and the clutch was 45k miles old, only had it for a week tho :(
made me smile every time i drove it

The superchip can be removed and the car is low mileage so I'm not to bothered. I'll go for something different map wise if I feel the need. I might get a power run with it on and off to see what its actually doing.

I've heard mixed reports about revo. I was told proper custom maps are better. Bell Autos sound like nice chaps.

Mine also slips from low end in the bigger gears. It seems to thin out quite quickly too at the top end. I expected it to pull hard upto 4k and beyond.

I might get a custom map afteral.

Whats in the lux pack, how do I know if its on my FR or not? Can they be retro upgraded?

With the REVO remap (or anay remap) The traction control goes mad in the wet on through corners, the car flies from 2K and pulls strongly untill 4K then it tails off, not really had much to complain about in the way of clutch slip problems TBH. Although revo is a generick remap parameters can be adjusted to suit you requirements.

As for lux pak 1 thats heated washer jets and heated mirrors.

Right, my clutch is a bit fragile at low engine revs in big gears, 5th and 6th when the engine is cold.

Any idea of costs for the lux pack?

don't think it can be retro fitted unfortunately as it's a factory option, you might be able to get parts from the dealer but it involves new wiring looms etc so cost would be high i would of thought

I'll scrape my mirrors in the winter then. The old Mk3 tdi comes back to haunt my Fr again. :S

lux pack is heated mirrors and washers, folding mirrors, headlight washers, rain sensing wipers and anti dazzle rear view mirror
