Aren't they silly money? you can get cheap versions on aliexpress if you're prepared to wait weeks for delivery

You just need the chrome end piece to finish it off

£23.40 link above. Collected from a local dealer.

Only buy genuine Seat accessories.

Messed it up a little as when peeling off plastic it peeled the sticker bit instead. Can see little lift on one edge.

Seat do the chrome piece?

It’s only a sticker?! 😅 thought it was a replacement case at first. I like the thought of changing the look of the key but the key is already bulky enough as it is without adding to it IMO

Found a chrome one but need to take the FR cover off to access FFS.

Oh well

They do different versions - plain chrome, GTi, GTD, R
I've fitted a few to previous VWs (pull back off fob then use a torx driver to remove screw the slide piece out and fit new) - the last VW i had was a 2019 T-Cross and the chrome was slightly different fitment so i had to use a dremmel to "modify" it to fit - weird?

Might do the spare key but probably just a waste of money. Would of done main key before fitting FR cover.

I purchased a different design: https://www.caraccessoriesplus.co.uk/product/seat-ibiza-2018-onwards-key-cover-speed/E6F0087013C

It certainly is overpriced even at £20.70 Don't think I'll bother with the chrome!

Not too bad the price. As it come with a alcohol wipe, 3m adhesive promoter wipe which makes the key tacky. Then you peel off film from the 3m pads and apply each section. I suppose a cheap version would be £5+. But might not fit right, lose its adhesive properties and design wear off fast.

Only time would tell if the genuine part lasts long.

€11+

No idea why it's £20+ over here.

Like the ice scraper is £20 on eBay. Yet £9 at dealership.

The black screw in the fob is very easy to round off - i did that and ended up using a very small precission flat screwdriver to coax it out.
The new screw is a bit better but you need a torx to get it in fully

A T6 or T7 Torx screwdriver bit should fit.

My chrome piece arrived today - same problem as i had with the T-Cross - it doesn't fit without modifying.
When you try to slot it in place it wont slide far enough so a bit needs cutting off (i used a dremmel) - you'll see which part but i've attached a pic showing the part - hope this helps :)

New Vs old
