Having ordered an FR TDi and upgraded to the 18" Alloys, I'm considering getting the full Seat body kit.
Just phoned an insurance company for a quote, and they quoted £282 Fully Comp (Full Business Class) without the body kit, but when I mentioned possibly adding the kit, he said they would not insure it.
That's not to say that it's going to be difficult finding insurance, but I was wondering how much of a price increase any body kit owners have had.
Admittedly, I didn't have time to phone around today, but will investigate more tomorrow. Of course, it all depends on age and circumstances etc for individual quotes.

Just thought I would plant a seed! :)

Cheers

Why spoil the look of a Leon FR with a bodykit?

The FR has it's own style and individuality with its unique front apron and rear black panel. The bodykit cheapens the look of it in my view. There are plenty of poor colour matched examples around also. Make sure you see one before deciding. Maybe you have and maybe you've already decided - just throwin' my 2 peneth in!

Don't Chav the motor!

I think you could be right there. I remember seeing a silver Kit on one just shortly after the Mk2 Leon came out. It was parked alongside another silver model, and must admit, it looked better, but these two Leons were only the basic models, so I guess the sporty lines naturally looked better against the basic model.

I do like the FR's back bumper, but not too keen on all the plastic honeycomb on the front end. I wish there was a metal chrome or black chrome mesh option for the front grills, as it's got to be easier to keep clean than the deep plastic honeycomb.
I might just order the sideskirts as a compromise. Still deciding.

I was quoted £350 from a Seat dealership. The parts themselves cost £100 a side, so you'd be paying more for painting and fitting than the actual parts!!

I spot daylight robbery!!!
