Hi everyone

Finally got around to making a mount for an fr badge for the front of my car. Anyway, put it on earlier on the right hand grille, next to the seat badge. Then it struck me that this is where the intake it, and was wondering if this would impede the air flow and cause a decrease in performance. Hope it doesnt cause for some reason, I think it looks better on the right hand side...

Thanks

Did think about one for mine. Bought two off ebay, and ended up putting one in the engine compartment at the front, the other at the back of the centre console next to the cup holder. The quality wasn't that great, but I only paid £6 for the pair, including P&P.

Have you got the Cupra intake, with the flap removed from the front of the pipe? This restricts the air flow. Would have personally fitted the badge on the other side of the grille though - but mine is the facelift model with the FR badge on the right rear as you look at it from behind. If you fit it on this side, this will make sure you don't restrict the airflow.

Got mine off ebay too, luckilly it was a authentic vag part I beleive as it had parts numbers written on the packaging. I like the idea for putting one near the centre console.

I do have the cupra intake. I might take it off and put it on the left tomorro, I'm sure I'll get used to it. I have the facelift model too, was thinking about putting some more on on the front wing, get rid of the tdi badge and put some there.

glue? mine was sticky backed, i figured that if it was on too good then thieving scrotes would snap the grill getting it off

Yup, ive never had any problems, it fell off once, but I had a few spare, so just did it again, been on over 2 years now. Only use a little bit of glue anyway due to the badge not fitting perfectly on the grill. All good :D
