Hey I've got a 2016 leon fr 184 dsg. Was thinking of stage 1 map. Has anyone done this on here? And has the top speed improved much? And how does the gearbox and clutches handle the extra power? Thanks.

I would not expect much in respect of increased top speed on a diesel. It might be different but since no one else has replied: my experience with the wife's Jetta 140 dsg was that it increased the top speed with a bit more than 10 km/h. Regarding drivetrain reliability - it was a dsg - and we did almost 150k km in it with no issues relating to the gearbox etc. what so ever (however we changed the dsg oil every 30k km instead of 60k km)..

I'll be getting mine mapped soon,i wouldn't be concerned with top speed which is pointless on public road, the remap will give increase in the mid-range torque and 30-50hp increase in power which generally the car torque and power ranges from 2k-4krpm according to the manual.

Hey thanks for responding. The top speed dosent bother me too much. It's just my mate has a GTD which tops out at 150mph so I can't beat him XD. My main concern is how will the dsg gearbox cope with the extra torque and horse power?

If I am not mistaken it uses the DQ250 which is rated at 450 nm. With an expected output in the range of 500 nm I would not worry to much - I would change the dsg oil more often, let it warm up properly before using the extra power and above all look for a file with smooth curves.
