Formentor digital dashboard query

I've just taken delivery of a new(ish) 73 plate 40 miles Formentor VZ2 310 as a treat before we have to go electric. I am just getting to grips with the infotainment system and the driving modes, .. and my dashboard seems to have a bug. When you start up, a grey box appears at the top of the dash, over the speedometer etc.. stating the driving mode you are in, BUT when the mode clears the grey box remain empty on top of my screen. Has anyone got any ideas on how you are supposed to clear it. Any thoughts or solutions would be greatly appreciated.

Probably worth checking what version of software you are running. Think the latest is 1960, but you should at least be on 1940 like myself.

I have someone who also experienced this, dont know if it was gone after a while. Or did he disconnect his battery for a while to reset it

I have just had this with my 24 plate VZ2 310. Has anyone figured out how to get rid of it without having to either disconnect the battery or book it in with the dealer (who will probably disconnect the battery)?

Just a quick update. After 6 days with grey box, when I started the car to drive home from work today, the box is no longer being displayed! Bizarre (and another example of how bad VAG software quality is) but hopefully I won't need to worry about it again...
