ive got one.....there are no real advantages and no disadvantages, the split-r will cost you more and give off a different sound to the 007p, they also come with a screw in blanking plug to convert back to fully recirc if you need to.

Ive also got a 007p and i like that too so i wouldnt be able to recommend one against another as they are both equally good in their own manner.

007p's go for silly money used........personally i would get a used one and save your dosh for other stuff........unless your remapped then you aint gonna notice a massive increase in sound between the two.

Well, i dont even have an Ibiza yet, picking it up on Tuesday, just standard tho, so you would recommend a used 007p for time been till the engine mod's begin?

Guessin the split-r ones sound louder if used with a remap?

yeah i go for the 007p cuz its gonna save you money, the sound difference on both of them when remapped is so much more than standard anyway. even though the split-r is known as a semi bov, i wouldnt say that it vents much into atmo anyway. just enough to give a different sound with no performance loss.

Just to add to this conversation about the 007 valve. I have a 007 and smoothed airbox with bmc panel filter and 100mm cold air feed into the wing replacing the origional one. My dumping sound is quite loud not noticable from outside the car and have to have the radio off to hear it but is muh louder than standard. Just wondering wat effect a fmic + remap would make on the sound, as ive heard that loads of people use the smoothed airbox and panel filter and get a loud sound but i presume that their cars must have been remapped?

Dumping sound will get more louder with a FMIC and remap as there will be more air pressure made by the turbo to dump if you get me.
