my mate helped me put it on because i didnt really have a clue and seeing as he has the same car i assumed he knew what he was doing.
can anyone help me here? pics would be a great help.
btw, please dont refer me to the search as i have searched for hours and cannot seem to find what i am looking for exactly...hope you can help.
thanks

I woudnt suggest making it fully atmospheric as i will make your car throw up faults...

Is your car standard? what adjustment is it on? (clockwise-counter clockwise?)

here's a pic to show anyhow

the boy that i bought it off said that it has been remapped to 200bhp but i have no proof...done a 0-60 in 6.6secs the other day, so what does that suggest? standard or...?

thanks for uploading that pic...thats how mine is set up but no woosh :(.

check the vacuum piping for leaks, i fitted my 007p the other day as i thought my std one was broken as i was getting lots of chatter. the 007p did the same so i checked all the vacuum pipes and found that one of them was cracked. instead of replacing them i just did the n249 bypass and ran new pipe from inlet manifold to dv. now i can hear it dump :)

Can some one help me (Big favour)

Hope you dont mind me using your thread ben-ducky-didnt wasnt start a new thread on this.....

Who has a Split r that could answer me this question or perform the task.... :)

'leak back test' does anyone know if its the same as the 007 valve...i.e if you push the piston up and cover the nipple the piston should stay up by vacuum? as mine just drops down.

Cheers

if its on atmospheric at all then it wouldn't hold. Needs to be fully recir for that test i believe. I could be wrong but atmospheric will just let the air escape.

i know what your saying yeh....but even you can block of the atmospheric part to make it 100% recert and even then it still doesnt hold the piston up. I'vd pm forge askin bout it....just have wait for them get back 2 me...

You sure you've not got it set too tightly? Loosen it right off plug the charge hose on and also the VAC line but leave it out of the TIP... Don't expect your car to idle so get someone to hold the valve for you, give it some gas and you should hear/see it moving

yeh i can push the piston up with my finger...

Forge say: push the piston up and then put your finger on the nipple and then release the piston and it should be held up by the vacuum and when you release your finger off the nipple the piston will drop back down... (they say this for the 007 but i would of thought it should be the same for the split r)

Mine just drops down when me finger is on the nipple which means there is'nt a vacuum
