Hello Boys and Girls

I have been in talks with the lovely people at Forge and ask them about producing a hose kit for the Leon Cupra Tdi.

I need to know who else would be interested in this so we can take the next step!

Please add your name to the list below :)

I would imagine that it would be Silicone! Is that what you would prefer???

Metal would be a much better option, have you not seen the problems jonjay has been having with regards to his sfs silicone hoses. They were swelling loads, up to 35% more iirc. I know he was running just under 2 bar of boost but sfs said the pipes shouldnt swell hardly, even with 2 bar of boost

I would be interested but I have the following concerns

1) Will forge be doing Intercooler and piping development?
2) Will forge offer a piping kit for the existing FMIC (Very good intercoolers that are good for upto 300bhp from what we hear)
3) What sort of cost?

Jonjay i will find that out for you buddy! The 1st Step is to get interest! if we can get the interest then they can start the development and that way we will get a clearer view of were we stand and what the outcome will be :)

Cool because I am at crossorad at the moment.

I am running OE setup with a big turbo and prototype clamps to hold everything in place. If Forge or SFS can come up with a setup that suits standard and big turbo setups the better for everyone.

depends m8 , is it silicone or metal like the allards one they used to do

Update!

i have spoke to the guys at Forge and this was the respose hope this helps

"we would look to do it from silicon , but on a diesel car it should really be flurolined silicon as it is then ok for the oil vapour that you see on the diesel motors , if its not flouro lined it will swell, its a more expensive process but its the only true way to do the job really"

Its good that forge are going to help, just like sfs, but it would be better and ofcourse better for the boost if it was done out of metal, no swelling etc. if forge do it out of silicone i believe that people like jonjay with big turbo etc will suffer the pipes swelling again. Surely it cant be that hard to make metal pipe work and on each end have the metal clip than can connect into the oe stuff??

Good luck with the Forge stuff, we've been asking about this for about 2 years now and to say there has been little interest would be entirely accurate which is the main reason i'm sticking with SFS and ironing out the issues there.

well ive been quoted £290 fitted for an alloy set up here in wales surely forge could get on this an develop look how many poeple run the the dervs , here mkiv's and the skoda boys

obviously would have to be a fair price for people to get really interested ,
