yes there are lots of post's about this but i wanted to no what does it improve i have just recently got a leon fr its had stage 1 map . what would i benefit from with a forge 007p. ?

Not alot unless the original is leaking. Some replace it as a matter of course as they tend to be old and remaps can push them over the edge.

Original is a rubber diaphram whereas the forge uses a piston which cant tear. forge can be serviced the original cant.

As an alternative the APR R1 is a beefed up diaphram that shouldnt need servicing.

well if am going to replace it i like the sound of dv on cars but heard lot bad things about dv on leon's . why is this,

The 1.8T VAG engine needs a recirculating valve because it expects air to come back in via the DV and fuels accordingly etc etc. You could get a Forge Split-R valve which is half and half and also Bailey do a similar one

A good reason to upgrade from the original DV is if if where to fail and fall apart the parts fall straight down into the path of a nice spooling turbo and lets be honest you don't want anything coming into contact with the blades of the turbo..........unless you fancy a new one....... ;)

With a remap I think the 007P is a must.

A lot stronger and also holds boost better with the added advantage of being tunable.
