what kind of problems would you have if you have the wrong spring fitted?

to keep it simple, the extra boost MAY push the piston open (if you fitted the dv backwards) and it can cause premiture opening, and also slow closing time ie
the valve opening on its own or after opening it not closing propperly.
although some guys have found the softer springs better than the stiffer, each car, map and set up is diffrent so some times best not to be a sheep
i know of a TT near me who is stage 1 he had to use a yellow spring and a spacer shim so it just under the strenght of the blue (i think) yet i dont think my valve will open with that set up lol
another good tip is to remove/bypass the N249, this could stop any premeture opening... again some cars dont like it.

If your sting is to soft for boost presure then its the same principle as having a leak the valve opens to early letting boost pressure out before it gets a chance to peak so won't achieve full power

I do agree Andy I haven't done it myself but the springs are overpriced IMHO but as I said I do agree to an extent

yes they do have a very good service, they sorted a lot of bits out on my old cupra intercooler pipes BUT 14 quid pluss for a spring is so so so silly after you have spen 100 quid plus on the valve...
again iv not done it, i was given mine by a bloke up the road from me, sam was there too

Hello all I have been wondering this myself. I know my DV has the yellow spring in but the box is still in my boot. My car runs at 17PSI and I must say it doesn't like the yellow spring so I am going to put the green in. The car is how I bought it recently and if say im in 6th gear at 60mph and try to speed up to 70mph it just chatters I don't speed up for ages. Seems a bit ott for turbo lag.

Is the change over as simple as remove the 3 little allen key bolts in the top and swap the springs?

Mine appears to look like the forge 008 on Awesome gtis site so maybe I have that...

I cant find 007p that looks like mine. I'll go check the box it came in and see if it says
